Most free lyric video tools either cap you at 720p/1080p or brand every export with their logo. Threnic exports at full 4K (2160p) and 1440p/2K in addition to 1080p and 720p, and never stamps a watermark on your video. You keep 100% ownership of the finished video — post it to YouTube, Spotify Canvas, or anywhere else, commercially or not.
Because Threnic encodes with the browser's hardware WebCodecs pipeline, a 4K export uses your GPU's dedicated video encoder rather than a slow software fallback. On a mid-range card a 3-minute 4K render typically finishes in 8–15 minutes.

Threnic is free, open source software under the MIT license. Timing, effects, backgrounds, audio reactivity, 4K and 60fps export are all included — there is no paid plan, no account, and no paywall anywhere in the app.
Frequently asked questions
Does Threnic watermark videos?
No. Exports are clean at every resolution up to 4K and 60fps. A Threnic watermark exists only as an optional toggle in the Export tab, and it is off by default.
Can I really export 4K in a browser?
Yes. Threnic uses the WebCodecs API (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera 94+) to drive your GPU's hardware H.264 encoder, so 4K export runs locally without a cloud render farm. For 4K, 6–8GB of VRAM is recommended.
Is my music uploaded for 4K rendering?
No. Rendering and encoding happen entirely on your device. Your audio, lyrics, and images never leave your computer.
How long does a 4K export take?
On a mid-range GPU (e.g. an RTX 3060), a 3-minute video at 4K takes roughly 8–15 minutes. Integrated GPUs take longer. Closing other tabs during export helps.
