Threnic is a solo engineering project designed, architected, and built from the ground up by Peter Nixon, a software engineer and founder of NXN Technologies LLC.

What started as a personal frustration with the lyric video creation workflow became a production-grade, browser-native rendering engine — built entirely by one person. Threnic handles real-time 3D scene composition, audio frequency analysis, GPU-accelerated post-processing, and hardware-encoded 4K video export, all running locally in the browser with no server dependencies.

The Vision

Threnic was born from a simple problem: creating high-quality, professional lyric videos is either too expensive or too time-consuming. Traditional workflows require desktop software like After Effects — expensive licenses, steep learning curves, and hours of CPU-heavy rendering for even a simple three-minute video.

The goal was to bridge the gap between static lyric generators and high-end 3D motion graphics, giving independent artists and creators the power to visualize their music with cinematic precision — without the cost or complexity of professional post-production software.
