Private lyric video maker — your audio never leaves your device

Threnic is built local-first: your unreleased track, your lyrics, and your artwork stay on your own computer. Rendering happens on your GPU, in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, streamed, or stored on our servers — so you can make a lyric video for a song no one has heard yet without it ever touching the cloud.

Why local-first matters for musicians

Most online lyric video makers upload your audio to their servers to render it. For an unreleased demo, a leaked-sensitive master, or a client's track under NDA, that is a real risk — your file now lives on infrastructure you don't control. Threnic takes the opposite approach: the audio you load is read directly by the browser and processed by your local GPU. It is never transmitted anywhere.

This is genuinely hard for cloud-based competitors to match. Their whole architecture depends on server-side rendering. Threnic's render pipeline runs client-side, which is exactly why your files can stay private.

What stays on your device

  • Your audio file (MP3/WAV) — read locally, never uploaded
  • Your lyrics, whether typed, pasted, or imported from LRC
  • Background images and artwork you add
  • The entire render and 4K export — encoded on your own GPU
  • Saved projects — stored in your browser, not our database

Private and still fully featured

Local-first doesn't mean stripped down. You get the full audio-reactive effect suite, real-time preview, precise lyric timing, and export up to 4K without a watermark on a paid plan. Privacy is the default, not a mode you have to switch on.

Frequently asked questions

Is my music uploaded to Threnic's servers?

No. Threnic uses a local-first architecture. Your audio, lyrics, and images stay on your device, and rendering happens in your browser using your own GPU. Nothing is uploaded, transmitted, or stored externally.

Can I make a video for an unreleased song safely?

Yes — that is exactly what local-first is for. Since your file never leaves your computer, you can build a lyric video for a demo or unreleased master without it touching the cloud.

Where are my projects saved?

Locally in your browser. You can also export a .thren project file for backup or to move between computers.

Does anything get sent to the server at all?

Your creative assets do not. Account and billing actions (if you upgrade) are handled separately and never include your audio or video content.

Keep your track private
